Fantastic Off piste Skiing in Beiarn Northern Norway, just above the Polar Circle.
Have you ever heard of off piste skiing in Beiarn Northern Norway? Probably not. It is a pearl that so many skier/snowboarder is looking to find just above polar circle. Our area has some of the best ski mountains you can think of in the end of the Beairdalen (Beairn valley) you can just put your skis on and choose a mountain to walk to ad then cruse down dawn to the valley to the sleep over place. And the thing is still that is that it is still looking to be found so you are most likely going to have whole mountain to yourself.
How to get to Beiarn is easy. First you find an airline that has tickets to Oslo(osl), Norway. Then from Oslo you can fly to Bodø(Boo). From there you can take a bus to Beiarn that stops at the lodge. You may hire a car from one of the local car rentals to have more freedom. The drive is about two hours from the airport.

- Leiråtind 1398 masl is the pearl of the area. You can just put skis on your feet and start walking up.
- P1446 on Gråttåegga, nice face and relaxed skiing on the glacier.
- Skjelåtind 1637 masl is the Beirarns highest mountain in the area.
- Kamtindaksla 1281 masl, lots of nice lines with good variations.
- P 1572 masl offers the most beautiful skiing line the area.
We take the weather that we get and plan our trip accordingly where is safe and good skiing conditions. No worries if we can’t go high up the mountains because of the weather. In Beiarn there is the best forest skiing possibilities.
Starting time between 8-10 am. Depending of the time of the year and the days destination.
Trips duration is approximately 4-9 h depending of the destination and how relaxed you want to be on your day in Norwegian backcountry.
Gear that you need :
- Off piste skiing gear/Split board/snowshoes and split board (there is possibility to rent gear from Skandinavisk Høyfjell utstyr Bodø if needed.)
- Avalanche beacon, shovel, avalanche probe. (Skandinavisk Høyfjell utstyr and we have some extra rescuing gear for you if needed. Please let us know in advance if you need some gear.)

Group size 2-6 per guide. (We can organise more guides for the trip if needed.) We can also organize individual guiding if you travel alone.
